Fair use: unlimited scanning

Scanning is unlimited on every paid plan. Here's how we keep it that way.

Effective date: October 18, 2026

Every paid plan scans as many pages as your site has. We don't count URLs, and you'll never get a surprise bill for scanning. How often scans run on a schedule depends on your plan; see Pricing.

To keep it that way for everyone, unlimited scanning covers:

  • Sites you own, or that a client has authorized you to test, added as domains on your account. Agencies can run each client's domain on its own plan.
  • Accessibility work for those sites, including work you deliver to clients. What isn't covered is reselling scanning as a service of your own, or using Accessible as the backend for another product.
  • Normal product use through our app, scheduled scans, deploy triggers and CI integration, not as a backend for another product or service.
  • Scanning pages that have changed. Repeatedly re-scanning a large site whose pages haven't changed, such as a full scan of thousands of pages every day with no deploy in between, isn't normal use. Scan on deploy, on your schedule, or the pages you've changed.

We crawl responsibly

We limit how many pages we load from your site at once, so scanning doesn't strain it. Very large sites take longer to finish.

If something looks unusual

If your usage falls outside these guidelines, someone from our team may reach out to understand your needs and find the right fit. We may limit or pause scanning that falls outside this policy.

Page checks and connected assistants

Our free page checker, and the tools an assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude uses once you connect it to your account, aren't part of unlimited scanning. They have their own daily limits, and you're told when you reach one:

  • Page checks load one public page per request, the way a visitor's browser would. Each account has a daily limit, and so does each site, however many people check it.
  • Account tools, which list your sites, turn on monitoring and read open issues, work only on your own organization's domains, with a daily limit per account.
  • They're for people asking an assistant about their work, not for scripts or services that drive them automatically.
  • You can check public pages of sites you don't own. If a site's owner asks us to stop checking their site, we will, and we may suspend an account that keeps checking it.

Limits reset each day at 00:00 UTC. A limit pauses checks until then; it never bills you.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to scanning and to page checks. Journey testing uses credits and isn't covered by it; see Pricing for how credits work. The Monitor plan doesn't include scanning. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
