Accessible vs AudioEye

AudioEye's pricing page lists continuous monitoring and "Automated Fixes" alongside developer tools, expert audits and, on its Managed plan, AudioEye Assurance [1]. Accessible is a diagnostic only: on paid plans it scans every URL, runs a simulated screen-reader user through your key tasks, and monitors the barriers real visitors meet, without changing your pages (its monitoring script only reads them). AudioEye's Managed plan lists custom-written fixes [1]; Accessible doesn't do remediation for you.

The short version

AudioEye sells three plans [1]:

  • Automated: "Automated tools addressing ~50% accessibility issues," continuous monitoring, a help desk and online learning. AudioEye notes it "does not include expert testing for remaining issues."
  • Self-Managed: developer tools, certified expert guidance, custom training, an accessibility scanner, expert audit and reporting, and "AudioEye MCP."
  • Managed: automated tools, "Agentic Audits," continuous monitoring, custom-written fixes, expert audit and reporting, and AudioEye Assurance, which AudioEye describes as "limited, guaranteed financial protection against WCAG-related demand letters and/or lawsuits." Per AudioEye, it "requires purchase of a Managed package that includes Assurance."

Accessible finds barriers and records the evidence: axe-core scans of every URL on paid plans, simulated screen-reader journeys through multi-step tasks, and monitoring of real sessions. Your team makes the fixes in code.

When AudioEye may be the better fit

  • You want a vendor to do the remediation for you. The Managed plan includes custom-written fixes [1]. Accessible only reports.
  • You need human expert audits. AudioEye offers them [1]. Accessible's journeys are simulated and don't replace testing by experienced assistive-technology users.
  • You want a financial-protection program from the vendor. AudioEye describes Assurance on Managed [1]. Accessible doesn't offer one.

When Accessible is the better fit

  • You want published, per-domain pricing and a free tier you can start without a sales call.
  • You want key tasks re-tested as you ship. Journeys re-run sign-in, search and checkout whenever you run them, within your plan's journey credits, and report the step that breaks.
  • You want fixes in your own code and no runtime changes to your pages, plus a dated record of what was tested, found and fixed.

Frequently asked questions

Does Accessible fix issues automatically?

No. Accessible finds barriers, shows the evidence (what was announced, where focus went, which step broke) and gives fix guidance for your framework. Your team makes the change in code.

Does Accessible include human audits?

No. Journeys are simulated in a real browser. Judgments that need an experienced assistive-technology user still need one, and we say so on our journey testing page.

Will either product protect me from lawsuits?

Accessible doesn't offer legal protection, and no tool can certify compliance. AudioEye describes Assurance, on its Managed plan, as "limited, guaranteed financial protection against WCAG-related demand letters and/or lawsuits" [1]; read its terms directly.
