Monitoring
Find the accessibility barriers real visitors hit on your production site.
On this page
Monitoring adds a small script to your site and reports accessibility barriers from real sessions to your Accessible dashboard.
What Monitoring does
Monitoring samples real visitor sessions on the pages you actually run in production — including pages and states a crawler never reaches — and reports which accessibility barriers those sessions met, on which routes, and how often.
What it does not do
- No remediation. Monitoring changes nothing on your page apart from loading its own script. It doesn't inject ARIA, rewrite the DOM, or "fix" anything — it only reads.
- No overlay, no toolbar, no widget. Your visitors see nothing.
- No compliance claims. Nothing here certifies, guarantees, or attests conformance to WCAG, the ADA, the EAA, Section 508, or anything else. Automated tooling can't do that.
- No assistive-technology detection. Monitoring doesn't inspect the user agent, media features, or timing to guess whether a visitor uses a screen reader or has a disability.
- No personal data. No text, no form values, no cookies, no cross-site or cross-visit identifier. See Privacy for exactly what leaves the page.
Monitoring and scans
Scans and journeys test pages you choose, on a schedule you set. Monitoring reports what happens on the pages people actually visit, whenever they visit them. Neither replaces the other — see real user monitoring vs. synthetic accessibility testing for how they fit together.
